The Nordic Institute of Virtual Dermatopathology, in collaboration with Eastern Virginia Medical School, are offering 3 hours of AMA approved CME credit for participation in a self-assessment examination with virtual
dermatopathology

EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES:
● Enable participants to increase their experience using virtual dermatopathology
● Provide dermatopathologists in remote areas, for whom specialty specific CME is not
locally available, with an online learning opportunity on this subject
● Review challenging and/or seldom encountered cases relevant to licensing examinations
CONTENT:
● There will be 15 dermatology cases including a history, clinical photograph and a biopsy
● The histopathology of the specimens will be viewable online as digital virtual slides
● There will be 2 questions associated with each case
● Answers, case review and references will be accessible on completion of case questions

This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the Essential Areas and policies
of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint sponsorship of Eastern Virginia Medical School and the Nordic Institute of Virtual Dermatopathology. Eastern Virginia Medical School is accredited by the ASCCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
Credit Designation
Eastern Virginia Medical School designates this educational activity for a maximum of 3 AMA PRA
Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

STUDIES & RESEARCH
Our study on diagnostic concordance in virtual dermatopathology was presented at the International Society of Dermatopathology meeting in Santiago, Chile, October 2009.
A subsequent study was completed in 2010. The abstract was presented as a poster at the 47th American Society of Dermatopathology Annual Meeting in Atlanta, GA.
